Total Industrial Production – Largest Monthly Index Drop in 101 Years

As COVID-19 continues to slow and suspend factory operations throughout April, total production has taken an 11.2 percent decrease. Manufacturing output has seen a 13.7 percent drop, which has been the largest decline on record and the capacity utilization for the industrial sector has also decreased 8.3 percent, down to 64.9 percent for the month of April.
