U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders Decreased in April 2020 to 225.8 Million, the Lowest Monthly Total Since May 2010

McLean, Va. (June 8, 2020) – U.S. manufacturing technology orders decreased 26% in April from the previous month to $225.8 million, the lowest monthly total since May 2010, according to the latest U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders report published by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. New orders were 39% lower than in April 2019. Total orders through April 2020 were just shy of $1.1 billion, 28% lower than 2019 orders during the same period.

U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders Increased in March 2020, Yet Deceleration Begins in Second Half of Month  

McLean, Va. (May 11, 2020) – U.S. manufacturing technology orders increased 8% in March from the previous month to $301.2 million, according to the latest U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders report published by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. New orders were 29.3% lower than in March 2019. Total orders through March 2020 were $863 million, 26.1% lower than YTD 2019 orders.

U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders Increased in February 2020: Covid-19 Pandemic Upends U.S. Economy and Manufacturing Industry

(April 13, 2020) – U.S. manufacturing technology orders increased 3 percent in February from the previous month to $277.9 million, according to the latest U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders report published by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. New orders were 16.5 percent lower than in February 2019. Total orders through February 2020 are $547 million, 26.2 percent lower than YTD 2019 orders.

U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders Decreased in January to Lowest Monthly Total since January 2017

McLean, Va. (March 9, 2020) – U.S. manufacturing technology orders decreased 32 percent in January from the previous month to $269 million, according to the latest U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders report published by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. January manufacturing technology orders were the lowest since January 2017. New orders placed in January 2020 fell 34 percent from January 2019.

U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders Increased in December Coming in at Second Highest Monthly Total for 2019

McLean, VA (February 10, 2020) – U.S. manufacturing technology orders rose 24 percent in December from the previous month to $404 million, according to the latest U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders report published by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. December manufacturing technology orders were the highest in 2019 after March, but down 9 percent from December 2018.  The year-end total is $4.5 billion, a decline of 17 percent from the year-end total in 2018.

U.S. Manufacturing Technology Industry Generally Optimistic About 2020 Despite Decrease in November Orders

McLean, VA (January 13, 2020) – U.S. manufacturing technology orders fell 15 percent in November from the previous month to $320 million, according to the latest U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders report published by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. For the first 11 months in 2019, manufacturing technology orders were $4.1 billion, down 19 percent from $5 billion in 2018 which was an especially strong year.
